Checked In: New Years 2025

I’m never truly certain around New Years. A lot of the time, the first of the year feels like any other day on the pile - nothing really changes, in the grand scheme of things. Sure, we make resolutions, but for many its herculean to follow through with any - I know at least it is for me. I’m a victim of my habits.

I wake up on the first and I go right back to what I was working on the weeks and months before. New projects don’t spring up to the solar calendar - only the fiscal ones; and we all know that to the corporate world, the end of the year isn’t until april.

But tonight, on the last night of 2024, surrounded by friends, I knew it was going to be the start of a whole new world.
