# Bimonthly? Update - December 15th, 2022 Published: December 15, 2022 As with most anything I've tried to start as a habit, these update posts have become far less then routine. Not to say I haven't done anything worth writing about - I'm just incredibly lazy. Anyways, here's what's up: # What I'm Working On I've installed a number of [Pimoroni Enviro](https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/enviro-urban?variant=40056508252243) sensors around the home. It's been great being able to retrieve hyperlocal weather and environment data to do with as I see fit. Currently I'm working on a public weather page, but you can already see the current temperature and humidity at the header of this site! Expect a writeup soon once I have done more interesting things with the data. ## Cycling I have spent almost all of my life deeply customizing and personalizing nearly any object I've had to interact with more then once. I'm of the quasi-minimalist philosophy in that everything I own should serve at least one single, specific purpose well. I mention this because I find it funny that even though I'm such a tinkerer to my core, it never occurred to me until this week that I could modify or build a bicycle. To be specific, since moving to the Calgary, I have not owned a bicycle for two reasons: 1. I'm terrified of it being stolen (mostly irrationally) 2. I don't have space for it in my apartment when it's not in use Josh Sawyer [tweeted](https://twitter.com/jesawyer/status/1602548138849447937) the other day about mini-velo frames and it gave me such an epiphany - Why don't I own a smaller bike - or better yet, one I can disassemble. That's right, I'm going to deep dive into Break-Away bicycle frames. Or maybe just buy a normal bicycle. Stay tuned. {{< newsletter >}} # What I've Been Reading I have had a hard time sitting down to read any actual books in the last few weeks. I've been intending to sit down and read [The Design of Everyday Things](https://inventaire.io/entity/wd:Q7729821) by Donald Norman, so hopefully during christmas break, I'll slow down enough to actually do that. # What I've Been Listening To {{< songlink "https://song.link/i/1309594827" >}} _Beirut - Gulag Orkestar_ was playing in I Love You Coffee Shop the other day and I've done a deep dive on their discography since then. It's great stuff, Balkan Folk in their early records but becomes a bit more pop in their newer records. I also did a [Listenbrainz Wrapped](https://lagomor.ph/indieweb/20221130/1220-note/), which highlights some of my most played records of 2022.
